Individual Psychotherapy Services and Fees
Intake Session
90 minutes- $265
Our initial session is longer, and more formulaic than routine session work, but it allows us time to go over what brought you to therapy, your history, your challenges and your strengths. This allows me to get to know you, and start seeing the parts of your life that you think are most important.
Routine Individual Therapy Sessions
55 minutes- $175 standard fee
Per individual request, sessions can be scheduled for longer duration (57 or 90 minutes). The session cost will be based upon our agreed rate, plus either 15 or 30 minutes worth of additional cost.
Session frequency is based on therapeutic assessment, personal preference, and scheduling.
Routine Couples’ Therapy Sessions
90 minutes- $225 standard fee
I offer short-term, solution-focused couples’ therapy sessions. These typically focus on improving communication between partners around issues like parenting, finances, negotiating conflict or desire differences, and expressing needs in the relationship.
Sliding Scale Options
For new clients with financial hardships, including those in service industries, students and recent graduates, or those who are experiencing specific hardships, I do offer a sliding scale based on individual ability to pay.
The current scale in 2025 is $120-$160. Rates may be re-negotiated if life circumstances change.
For existing clients, there can be an opportunity as needed to negotiate a single case agreement outside of this sliding scale. This is only offered to clients with established therapeutic relationships, and is contracted on a case-by-case basis.
As a social worker by training, I do not believe that Capitalism should be a barrier to accessing care. I work to keep my rates reasonable, given the cost of living in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I offer a sliding scale for folks as needed.
I do not currently accept any insurance coverage, in order to maintain flexibility in offering a sliding scale based on individual needs. Instead, I am happy to provide superbills for you to submit to insurance for reimbursement at out-of-network rates, if requested.
